Download Knowbot Software

The source code and documentation for the Knowbot Software can be downloaded from the Internet by following the link below. It can be used at no charge for research and educational purposes. Please read the Knowbot System Software License before downloading the software.

The software requires Unix, Python, ILU and optionally Tcl/Tk and a web server; for details, see the system requirements page or the list of download points for additional software below.

The downloadable archive is a gzipped tar file of approximately 2 Megabytes containing Python source code, documentation in HTML form, and other miscellaneous files. There are no platform specific binary files in the archive; the Python interpreter for your platform will parse the provided source files on the fly.

Download Additional Required Software

The archive above only contains the Knowbot software developed at CNRI. The following links help you download other required software that you may or may not already have installed. (We assume you already have some version of Unix, e.g. Solaris or Linux.) Even if you have already installed the software listed below, you may want to check the installation instructions below to verify that you have configured them correctly.
